“Fran” started out as a concept for a short film or hour-long episode, based off of the “technology gone bad” theme popularized by the anthology series: Black Mirror. As I developed the story, it became apparant that it would be best suited as a 90-page feature. “Fran,” unsurprisingly, is the story of an elderly woman named “Fran” living alone in a post-societal wasteland, whose life takes an unexpected turn when her estranged niece invites her to visit. “Fran” is currently a work-in-progress.
